Review: Salvagers #4

This issue opens up with a pod or something from Harrier Salvage landing on the nearby planets surface next to the Darzinean Warspray. After that we get a bunch of scenes of Brigby trying to shut off the power while Bill finds a ship that from what I can tell is badass or something. Um Tegan probably not the best time to try and talk to Bill since you just gave away his position by asking what's going on which how not caused a shit ton of droids to go after him. No quit Tegan... damit she just gave away his position again. Anyways next we see Bill go in a really dark room so that he can blind one of the droids somehow and destroy it. Dam that was badass. He just took out two droids and got in the weapons depot. To see how he took down both droids go buy and read this issue.  Well Bills day keeps getting worse cause the weapons depot is empty and now a droid has a blaster to his head. Hey Brigby might want to shut off the power before Bill dies. See this kind of shit is what makes me never want to go to space. Even if someone offered me ten thousand dollars I still wouldn't do it. Oh good Brigby finally got the power shut off before that droid could kill Bill. To see how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. So far it's kinda slow paced but in a good way. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. So who is Maggy?  I'm guessing it must be someone that Bill loved a lot since he said her name when he thought he was going to die. Things I learned from this issue. When fighting droids on a spaceship make sure Bill is with you.

Interview #33 With Harleyquinnology

A few months back I interviewed Mia Skala about her cosplay. Hope you guys enjoy :).

1: What got you into cosplay?

Harleyquinnology: My ex boyfriend was the first to get me into it. It was a very impromptu kind of thing, we just decided one day that we would go to Wondercon and that we would go as Joker and Harley since we loved the characters so much. Once we got there, I was so astonished by all of the costumes everyone was wearing, and of course I was even more surprised once I had learned that most of these people made nearly everything they wore. As a kid, I had always loved to make my own costumes for Halloween, and I strived to make them as original and eye-catching as possible. So I guess I kind of very naturally stepped into the cosplay scene thinking "wow, there's a community of people having fun doing exactly what I had dreamed of doing all of these years". So Wondercon 2013 was definitely my first step on this journey.

2: How long have you been cosplaying for?

Harleyquinnology: I've been cosplaying for just a little over three years now. This past Wondercon was my little three year celebration.

3: Do you have a favorite cosplayer that you look up to? If so why?

Harleyquinnology: I'm not sure that I could say I have a favorite that I look up to, I have quite a few different cosplayers that I have looked up to throughout my journey. Two prominent ones are definitely the instagram users @lady_ha_ha and @enasniv. Both are so incredibly sweet and talented, and I'm very happy to say that I've met and talked with both of them on more than one occasion!

4: What conventions have you cosplayed at and which one is your favorite and why?

Harleyquinnology: I've cosplayed at multiple conventions, and my usual lineup is Long Beach Comic Con, Stan Lee's Comikaze, Long Beach Comic Expo, and Wondercon. Wondercon is definitely my favorite convention to cosplay at simply because it was my first convention, and the environment is always so friendly and organized. It's definitely my favorite con, and always such a pleasure to go to!

5: Have you made many friends cosplaying?

Harleyquinnology: I've made many friends cosplaying! I won't name any names, but they know who they are haha. They're actually really really great people and it's awesome to be able to connect with such awesome people who have the same interests as I do! It's also great because we all help each other out from time to time when it comes to cosplay. I'm the spandex go-to girl haha.

6: How many people have you cosplayed as?

Harleyquinnology: I've done at least 35 different versions of Harley, Batgirl, Zatanna, Killer Frost, the Joker, Poison Ivy, Cry Baby (from the Melanie Martinez album), Bombshell Star Sapphire (an original design based on Ant Lucia's line of DC Bombshells), and a genderbent Lobo.

7: What advice could you give to someone who wants to start cosplaying?

Harleyquinnology: Just be passionate about it! It doesn't matter whether you made the costume yourself or not, just remember to have fun and enjoy it. That's the most important part

8: Is this something you'd do forever?

Harleyquinnology: I would love to do it forever, but I guess that's not exactly a reality haha.

9: Do you have a favorite character you've cosplayed as? If so who and why?

Harleyquinnology: I love to cosplay as Harley Quinn (as if that wasn't obvious enough already haha), but I think I love to cosplay her mainly because I relate to her so much. We're both very similar as people, so I think it's very easy for me to step into her costume and get into character. I almost don't have to change at all, we're both fun loving girls that are hopeless romantics and eager to please the people around them. The one distinction, of course, is that she is a literal super-villain, and I just dress up as one.

10: Do you make all your cosplay costumes? If so how long does it take you to normally make one?

Harleyquinnology: I've made it a habit for the last few cons I've been to to make at least 90% of what I wear. I am self taught when it comes to sewing, so over these past three years that I've been cosplaying, I've slowly sewed more and more components of my costumes, and now I try to make everything I wear if I can. It depends on the costume when it comes down to how much time it would take me to make it, but my personal record for making a costume is the pink and white Harley bodysuit I had hand-sewn in three days before Wondercon 2016.

11: Any new characters you plan on cosplaying soon?

Harleyquinnology: I definitely plan on cosplaying as Saturn Girl, Josh from Until Dawn, Huntress, Josie from Josie and the Pussycats, Mera, Injustice: Gods Among Us Harley Quinn, Livewire, genderbent Dick Grayson (New 52), genderbent armored Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman, and genderbent Genie from Aladdin. Of course that line-up is subject to change, but I do have a lot planned and many more cons I'll be going to this coming year so it should all work out.

12: If you could date any comic book character who would you date and why?

Harleyquinnology: Oh geez, this is a tough question! Probably Green Arrow, I've had a crush on him for a LOOOONG time, he's compassionate, kind, funny, but heroic and determined. Perfect boyfriend material right there (and hopefully he shoots straight when he's with me). He's the kind of guy you'd feel safe with, but also be able to have fun with.

13: Where can people find you on the internet?

Harleyquinnology: People can follow me on instagram at: @harleyquinnology. My Facebook is Harleyquinnology Cosplay, and my YouTube is also Harleyquinnology Cosplay

Review: Salvagers #3

This issue opens up with Brigby and Ty'r finding out that the droids trying to kill them are feeding off the power from the ship or anything else that's electric. Well this definitely proves it wasn't Brigbys fault so Ty'r should quit saying that it's all his fault. And no it's not his fault that you guys are in space on a dead ship it's all of your guys fault since all of you thought it'd be a good idea to go into space. Bad shit tends to happen in space. Like that should be something they teach you when you want to be astronaut. And they should have a little box that says are you sure you want to go into space even knowing that bad shit tends to happen in space? Anyways Bill finds out that the people who attacked the ship sent life pods to circle the nearby planet and then come back at a fast speed so that their impact would vaporiz the ship. Yay Tegan to the rescue... well she missed to which hit the ship that our other characters are on but that's better than all the life pods hitting the ship. To see if Bill survives when the ship gets hit by life pods and how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 9 out of 10. Can't wait to see how this arc ends :). Things I learned from this issue. That I don't ever want to be an astronaut.

Review: NCD #8 ( Winter Arc 2014 )

This arc opens up with Eric and all his friends playing a game that gets interrupted by a snowman knocking at the door. I love how all Eric ask is if it's short or tall. Anyways Eric gets news that one of his ex girlfriends is in trouble. Geez comic Eric must be attracted to the crazy girls who cause trouble. Though I guess that gives him some good adventures to go on if they need his help and live in a place called Arendelle. And yes I've never seen that movie but watched Once upon a time so yes I know that that's where Elsa lives. I'd ask Eric if it'd be difficult to date Elsa since she'd probably be cold all the time and need a jack but he'd probably tell me that the cold doesn't bother her anyways. To see if our heros save the day and how this arc ends go read my friends awesome webcomic :). Artwork was pretty good. Story wise well written. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. I wonder what other crazy chicks Eric has dated. Things I learned from this arc. If you date Elsa don't offer her your jacket if it's cold and she doesn't have one cause the cold doesn't bother her anyway.

Review: Salvagers #2

This issue opens up with us seeing where the crew was before they went to the Balaca Star System. They were at a place called the playground. I'm sure if that one McDonalds manager was on the playground he'd say we're trying to run a business here not a playground so you need to leave. We find out that Brigby likes to gamble and get himself in trouble. No I'm being serious he just ran out of credits and tried escaping from two big dudes but got hit by something. Next we get a scene with Tegan talking to Bill and asking him about his navy medallion. Later on we get a scene where we see that Brigby has been getting credits from some guy who keeps saying their family but now says Brigby is part of a different family now and then proceeds to chop off his arm and give him a list of guns that they need. Something tells me it's bad that he knows he's a salvager. Also if someone is family don't say it a million times and then tell them they're part of a different family now cause that can be very confusing and hurtful. We see Billy and Ty'r go to Brigbys house where we see that his arm that got chopped off became a monster. I still don't understand why he kept it but hey he's able to grow certain limbs back so at least he has a new arm. Anyways Brigby gives Billy the list of guns that the one guy gave Brigby which causes Billy to make the decision of going to the Balaca Star System so they can get all the weapons from the ship they'll be salvaging so they can help bring Brigby out of debt. Well at least they all take care of each other. To see how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise good but slow so I give this issue a 8 out of 10. Hopefully we get more action in the next issue. Things I learned from this issue. That one manager at McDonalds would probably hate going to a planet system or whatever called the playground. He'd probably yell at everyone and tell them that they were three years old and then his girlfriend would jump in and say that all the people there aren't normal and that it's ridiculous how they eat their food. Remember kids only at McDonalds can you love it... just as long as you eat your food the way the McDonalds employees want you to and not the way you want to.

Review: Alters #1

This issue opens up with our main character writing in his diary. At the moment I'll call him a him since he's not in superhero mode. Anyways he tells his diary a big secret. He's an Alter. Apparently Alters are superheros or just people with really cool abilities. Anyways they made one Alter out of antimatter which apparently made him extremely evil and murderous. What the heck is antimatter? It doesn't even sound good so ya sounds like they should've known things would go south once they made an Alter out of antimatter. Next we see our main character when in superhero mode. Yes when he's in superhero mode he's a she so now I'll call him a she. Anyways we learn that she can fly and seems to he a lot better than all the other Alters who are trying to talk to her cause they're flipping their shit over everything she can do. To me Octavian looks like one of those rich jerks that would pay to have your table at a restaurant just cause he's that rich and that big of an asshole. So anyways Chalice leaves before Octavian can convince her to go with them. We see Chalices life when she's not a superhero. Basically her family has been through a lot. Sadly her mom and dad remind me of white trash. Anyways Chalice goes to an Indians game with her family. Later on we see Matter Man aka the Alter made of antimatter who murders people anyways that's what he does in his live broadcast is kills some poor guy while he pisses himself. To see how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty interesting. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Can't wait to read the next issue :). Things I learned from this issue. Don't create anything or anyone out of antimatter unless you want bad shit to happen.

Review: Solar Flare #1

This issue opens up with our main character and some other guy wondering how the people they're hiding from have working electricity. I'm guessing that it's some government base. I mean heck they're prepared for everything. Next we see our same main character get a call from his mom telling him how excited she is that he's gonna talk to a sciencetist.. um why? They'll probably just talk about global warming and other boring things instead of how scientists will actually make hover boards and flying cars. And no those stupid scooter things with two wheels do not count as hover boards. Later on we see our main character tell some guy how rich he is now since his dead wife invested money into an independent video streaming company. I doubt they're as good as Netflix cause you can't beat Netflix and chill ;). Um now our main character is teaching some guy how to bat and then talking about how he didn't get to exercise in the morning. Well I'm sure my friend did after he drank his muscle milk #teammusclemilkman! To see how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was ok. Story wise slow and kinda boring. I give this issue a 7 out of 10. Normally if a book were this bad I'd stop getting issues but since I got all six issues at comic con I'll read and review them to let you know if it's a good series or not. Things I learned from this issue. When talking to a sciencetist be very excited and make sure everyone in uour family knows cause you know they'll be excited for you to. If it's an actor or actress that you'll be having lunch with don't worry about getting excited or telling all your family cause they're not as exciting as sciencetist. :)

Review: Spider-Man #4

This issue opens up with Ganke freaking out about Goldballs being a student in their school and how Miles Morales should go talk to him for Ganke. Um dude he's not that cool. Oh look he made a gold ball appear out of thin air... and now it's gone.... very impressive... Anyways the whole Ganke trying to convince Miles Morales to go up snd talk to Goldballs for him takes up most this issue. Oh looks like Goldballs threw a gold ball in their food giving them both a chance to talk to him. Dude did you really give away your friends secret identity all because you're talking to a guy who can create gold balls out of thin air? Definitely bad friend material. Later on we see Spider-Man swinging home but then getting missiles shot at him. To see if he survives and how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. I give this issue a 7 out of 10. Hopefully the next issue focus on more thing than one. Things I learned from this issue. If you're a superhero don't be friends with Ganke and tell him your secret identity unless you want him to tell some stupid guy who can create gold balls out of thin air your secret identity.

Review: Mockingbird #4

This issue opens up with Mockingbird taking blood samples from a bunch of dead animals and putting the disease that was in them in her own body.. or are they saying that her being around all those dead animals put it in her? I'm so confused but I guess that's the point of this first arc. Later on we see Mockingbird swim down to an evil sciencetist lair called T.I.M where she runs into a gaurd who basically talks to her instead of letting the others know there's an intruder. Note to self when working with evil sciencetist sound the alarm if you find an intruder instead of making small talk with them. Though Mockingbird is hot so I guess she'd be very distracting making you forget to sound the arm. We see Mockingbird save Lance Hunter and then put herself in a tank full of water. To see if she lives or not and how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise confusing but good I think. I give this issue a 8 out of 10. Can't wait to see how this arc ends. Things I learned from this issue. Mockingbird is very distracting. Heck if she walked in my room right now I'd be so distracted by her that I'd never finish this senten-

Interview #32 With Kristi Mcdowell

Did an Interview a few months ago with the writer of Gamer Girl & Vixen hope you guys enjoy :).

1: What got you into comics?

Kristi Mcdowell: I got into comics when I was young - maybe 7 or 8 years old, when I found my dad’s old comics in my grandparents’ basement one summer. My lifelong passion began in earnest when cartoons like Batman: The Animated Series and The X-Men were on TV.

2: How'd you come up with the idea for Gamer Girl & Vixen?

Kristi Mcdowell: Gamer Girl & Vixen is the result of years of playing online roleplaying games with my good pal and writing partner Sean Ian Mills. We were big into Marvel-centric writing games and had a character dynamic that we often came back to. That early character dynamic eventually manifested itself in the form of Gamer Girl and Vixen, two fun-loving, would-be supervillains who are more interested in the retweets than the rewards.

3: How long has Gamer Girl & Vixen been around?

Kristi Mcdowell: Officially, we started talking about Gamer Girl & Vixen late in 2014. That was when we formed our team with Gemma Moody. At the beginning of 2015, letterer Taylor Esposito joined up, which is what solidified the book into what it would eventually be. We launched our first Kickstarter campaign in May 2015 to fund chapters 1 and 2 (and managed to make enough to make chapter 3!) so that’s probably the real “birth” of the series, as it were.

4: Do you have a favorite issue or issues of Gamer Girl & Vixen?

Kristi Mcdowell: Oooh, good question. Maybe it’s not fair to mention it, since it’s not out yet, but chapter 4 is a great one. It’s where the initial “I like you” turns into “OMFG I think I love you” between the girls. It’s where they have to start deciding what’s most important: maintaining their safe cover stories or give in to each other.

5: What has been your favorite thing about writing this series?

Kristi Mcdowell: This is the kind of book I wish I could have read as a kid/teenager. There is something really satisfying about filling a void in an industry that I’m passionate about. Writing LGBT female lead characters in a world that embraces the fun of being a costumed adventurer is a genuine pleasure.

6: How long does it take you to write an issue of Gamer Girl & Vixen?

Kristi Mcdowell: Sean and I can bang out a script in about a week. There’s an editing process that takes longer, where Gemma joins us and brings an artist’s perspective to the script. But once we figure out the scene, Sean and I have more than a decade’s worth of writing experience together, so getting it down on paper is actually the easiest part of the process.

7: Who is your favorite character in this series and why?

Kristi Mcdowell: Hrmmm, we have such a great cast. So far, and maybe it’s silly, but my favorite character right now is actually one of the characters that came out of one of our reward tiers in the last campaign. Candace is AWESOME. She’s sassy, excitable and very, very funny. We’d already had the shell of the character in place but inserting Candace’s likeness into that role (originally written for a male character), really changes up the dynamic of what a supporting female character can be.

8: What advice could you give to someone who wants to write their own comic book series?

Kristi Mcdowell: WRITE IT. Literally nothing can happen in comics without a written down idea. Talking comics is not the same as making comics. Sean and I spent most of our friendship talking about the amazing comics we wanted to make and it took me finally linking up with Jay Mooers at Eden Park Tales to start actually doing it. As I learned the ropes, and there’s so much to learn, I brought that experience to Sean and convinced him to join me on this epic comics adventure. But none of it could have happened until I started just writing scripts and putting them out there.

9: What are some things you've learned from writing this series?

Kristi Mcdowell: Nice segue! The most important thing I’ve learned about comics since starting this series is that it doesn’t matter how good your work is if no one sees it. Networking and marketing are as important, if not more important, than making a good book. It can feel counter-productive to give any of your material away but the only way to get people talking about your comic is to put it in their hands. Use social media, go to conventions, get involved with independent creator groups. You’re selling yourself as much as you are your comic and that is absolutely crucial to find any level of success.

10: Would you ever want Gamer Girl & Vixen to be a movie or tv series? If so why or why not?

Kristi Mcdowell: YESSSSSSSS. I can imagine Gamer Girl & Vixen as another Supergirl or Agent Carter. But, and this is me being super picky and selfish, but I’d almost rather it be a movie just so we could cast Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow as Gamer Girl and Vixen, respectively. Have you seen them in Pitch Perfect and Pitch Perfect 2? Their chemistry demands a retake.

11: How long is Gamer Girl & Vixen going to be?

Kristi Mcdowell: Gamer Girl & Vixen volume 1 is going to be six chapters at about 100 pages. That’s what we’re working to fund right now on Kickstarter. Following the success of that, we have the framework for a volume 2 waiting in the wings. As far as I’m concerned, I can keep writing Gamer Girl & Vixen stories for as long as people want them!

12: What about this series makes it special to you?

Kristi Mcdowell: Besides everything? I mean, aside from it representing everything I want to read in comics - strong female leads, a diverse cast and a focus on the human aspect of superheroes and villains - this is really the first project I’ve done that is creating a conversation about what comics can be. I get emails and messages all the time thanking me for bringing characters to the page that don’t ordinarily get highlighted. I won’t lie - those messages always make me tear up a little. It’s so important to me that I make one person feel included in ways that I never experienced as a fan growing up.

13: If you could be any comic book character who would you want to be and why?

Kristi Mcdowell: Ms. America Chavez! “She’s beauty, she’s grace, she’ll punch you in the face!” ‘Nuff said.

14: Where can people find you on the internet?

Kristi Mcdowell: Right now, the best place to find us is on Kickstarter (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1150651083/gamer-girl-and-vixen-the-graphic-novel) but our webpage is our hub for everything GG&V (http://gamergirlandvixen.com/). Come find us for a healthy dose of Love, Lesbians and Larceny - You Know You’re Into It!

Review: Salvagers #1

This issue opens up with us seeing two ships in space and meeting two of our main characters Tegan a purple alien and Bill or Captain Roenick who's a human. At least I think he is. Anyways he restores power to the ship he's salvaging which cuts off his communication with Tegan. Well since they're in space right now already knew something bad was gonna happen. We meet our other characters Ty'r and Brigby. Yes both these guys are aliens. Anyways they both get attacked. See kids this is why you don't go into space or invent robots unless you want the robots to kill all of humanity or enslave it and then go into outer space and cause havoc there. Oh look Captain Roenick is getting attacked by robots to. Good thing Tegan is on the ship or else they'd definitely be screwed for good. I mean with her on the main ship it gives them a chance at survival. Later on a droid comes and saves Captain Roenicks life only to tell him that he was the one who cut off his communicator. To see what else he tells him and how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Can't wait to see how they get out of this mess that they're all in. Things I learned from this issue. Robots and space are two things that should never be in the same place at once. Heck just read this issue and you'll understand why.

Review: Green Arrow #3

This issue opens up with Green Arrow breaking into queen industries. Hey that's already been done in the tv show but not quite like this one where he knocks all his gaurds out and runs into a room full of people with torches. They emo or something? Like I'm sure that building has electricity unless Cyrus Broderick forgot to pay the power bill. Next we get a scene where Diggle goes to some church where he holds a priest at gunpoint and has him lead him in some secret part of the church. For a minute there I thought Diggle hated all religious people but now it all makes sense. Oh hell yes we get a scene where Green Arrow beats the crap out of all the emos in Cyrus Brodericks office and then steals the laptop, shoots an arrow has an explosive device on it and breaks through the window before he gets blown to hell. Later on we see Black Canary scaring the shit out of the worker that the Green Arrow bribed in the first issue. I'm guessing she'd be rough in bed which makes me think she'd probably be into some weird kinky stuff which means she'd probably be fun to sleep with ;). We get a whole fight scene of Green Arrow vs Shado. To see who wins and how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise really good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. See I knew that if Green Arrow bribed people with a lot of money that someone would find out that he was Oliver Queen. Things I learned from this issue. Cyrus Broderick has an army of emos working for him.

Review: Spider-Man #3

Most this issue is Miles Morales grandma yelling at him and telling him to stay off drugs which I'm sure he already knows. Two girls do visit him well actually one does but she was able to get inside his house cause she was so small. Later on we see Black Cat have a talk with Hammerhead and put a bounty on the new Spider-Mans head. To see how this issue ends and who the new student is in Miles class go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise good but not great. I give this issue a 7 out of the 10. Hopefully next issue has some action. Things I learned from this issue. To stay away from drugs... well shit I vape so guess I'm screwed now.

Review: Snow Fall #5

This issue opens up with us seeing the White Wizards past attempt at trying to get into a city that has defense that he helped make. Yep already I'm bored. So anyways of course he fails to get in the first time which brings us to the present where he's trying again but has a group of trouble makers to help him. Something tells me things won't go as planned which will end in him dying or all of them dying. Anyways we get a few boring scenes where some fat bald dude talks to Inspector Davitika Deal. Skip. So anyways White Wizard uses Anthony Farrow to get the other inspector and there chopers to come out and take him but kill everyone else giving the White Wizard what he needs to use his powers. Oh look it worked but ended badly. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise eh could be better. I give this issue a 5 out of 10. So glad this series is off my pull. Things I learned from this issue. Don't work with the White Wizard unless you want to end up dead.

Review: Spider-Gwen #11

This issue opens up with Bodega Bandit stealing burgers from the bucky barns restaurant or burger joint whatever it is. Also go read this issue to understand why this scene is so funny. Anyways Gwen Stacy yells at Bodega Bandit which gives the owner time to knock him on his ass and take back the burgers he stole. How does he get out of jail so fast though? Anyways next we see Frank Castle meet with Norman Osborn and offer to help clear his sons name if Norman Osborn helps him take down Spider-Gwen. What good can this earths Norman Osborn do? I mean he's not the green goblin so it's not like he can go hand yo hand with het. Though if he dif my money would definitely be on Spider-Gwen. Later on we see that Gwen is hiding out at Reed Richards house and having him fix her power up device. Hopefully he learns how to make more power ups for her. We get a couple scenes where Gwen thinks to herself and one scene where Bodega Bandit tries to offer her a burger he's taken a bite out of. Eww and also how'd you get out of jail that fast? Back at Reed Richards place we see that he fixed Gwen Stacys power up device and kinda modified it. To see how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Can't wait to see how this arc ends :). Things I learned from this issue. If you're a supervillain and you end up getting caught and go to jail, just have your rich dad call and yell at the cops so they'll let you go.

Review: Suicide Squad #1

This issue opens up with Amanda Waller being flown to belle reve while we have to read her internal dialogue. Well this scene should have been cut from the comic. I mean heck it almost put me to sleep. Next we see all the suicide squad members plus Katana and Colonel Rick Flag... wait Enchantress is really in this series now. Is the movie trying to be like the comic series or is the comic series trying to be like the movie? Anyways next we see the suicide squad up in space and bad things happen. Well no shit bad shit always happens in space duh. To see how this issue ends and if the suicide squad lives go buy and read this book. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise short. I give this issue a 8 out of 10. Hopefully next issue is longer. Things I learned from this issue. Stay the hell out of space! Wait I already knew that. I'm just making sure you guys know that.

Review: Quantum And Woody #4

This issue opens up with Quantum sorta breaking into the secret base of E.R.A to see what I mean buy sorta broke in go read the issue. Next we get villain monologue. Man villans need to really learn from past villans and if there's none then they should watch movies with villans in them so they can learn from those villans. Anyways some cyborg half human dude plays a tape that burns up. We learn that the evil leader of E.R.A has learned how to make clones and pretty much everyone who works for her is a clone. I'm surprised she can stand being around herself so much. Oh look while all the villans were being stupid and monologing Quantum let all their breakthroughs escape. Basically all hell breaks loose and Quantum saves Woody. To see if they beat E.R.A and how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise eh pretty much saw it coming so I give this issue a 7 out of 10. Now I need to find the second volume. Things I learned from this issue. Don't experiment on stuff unless you want it to break free or get set loose and kill you along with anyone else who experimented on it.

Review: Snow Fall #4

This issue opens up with us seeing Dr. August Reasons past work and how he pretty much failed at it just like he's failing at trying to create snow or ice or whatever right now so he can scare the crap out of the gang that probably wants to kill him. Next we see Inspector Davitika Deal basically get her men killed in some kind of containment room and then have some creepy girl show her her past like how when his father failed at trying to give himself powers to control the weather he somehow gave them to her instead. And the most retarded father award goes to Dr. August Reasons. Wait how in the hell is his daughter showing Inspector Davitika Deal her memories while controlling Anthony Farrow who totally gets what he deserves for killing all those people. To see what else happens to Inspector Davitika Deal and how this issue ends go buy a- actually no don't even think of buying it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise eh most of it didn't make sense. I give this issue a 7 out of 10. Hopefully they explain how she was controling Anthony Farrow while showing Inspector Davitika Deal her memories. Things I learned from this issue. That Dr. August Reasons is the worst parent of the year.

Review: Mockingbird #3

This issue opens up with us seeing all the stuff Bobbi did when she was younger to try and get powers. See kids if you try this stuff you could possibly die. Anyways we see that later on in life she forgot about wanting to be a superhero and focused on science and math. So focus on math and science and then I'll become a superhero? That's what I'm getting out of this so buy guys I'm gonna go study some math and science so I can become a superhero. We go to the present where we see some cop on top of a roof trying to give a sixth-grade girl that has super powers a juice box... um what? Ya let me tell you she's on a rooftop with her friends in a giant rainbow bubble cause she wants a juice box. Smart thinking... not! Anyways Mockingbird talks to her for a bit till a chopper flys over and gets shot down by the girls powers. So her power is to turn things black and white? Well hopefully they take care of her before she makes this whole issue black and white. I like how she used her powers on the news reporter. The other people not so much. To see if Mockingbird stops her and how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. So remember kids if a bad guy is holding people hostage it's because he needs a juice box. Things I learned from this issue. That Hillary Clinton would enjoy it a lot.

Review: Batgirl #1

This issue opens up with Batgirl fighting a geisha. Oh come on I wanted to see the rest of the fight. Ok good it looks like we're going back a few hours to when she first arrived in Naha and met her roommate who used to be friends with her when she was little. I'm sure he's there for something else. I mean heck what he told her sounds like a cover story to me. Wow they move fast already they're eating Octopus together and drinking craft beer together. Hopefully he doesn't take pictures of her later while she sleeps. Heck my friend did that with one of our friends and now I'm never gonna sleep in a room that he's in. Dude I don't think puking in a toilet and blaming it on the food that Barbara picked is a good way to get to her heart. Maybe say ya those two beers I had did a number on me but that Octopus was pretty dam good. Next we see Barbara and her roommate at a dance where Barbara finally gets to meet Fruit Bat. I'm not even shitting you that's really her superhero name. I'm guessing Batwoman was already taken when she wanted to dress as a bat and be a hero. So anyways we finally get back to where this issue started. And to see who wins the fight and how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 8 out of 10. Hopefully her roommate becomes less of a wimp in the next issue. Things I learned from this issue. There's actually a superhero in Dc Comics named Fruit Bat that surprisingly never got her own series. Next thing you know a new superhero will take Batmans place and call himself Bloodsucking Bat.

Review: Spider-Woman #9

This issue opens up with a cabin in the sunset. In this issue of Spider-Women we'll show you our ski resort and the cabins you can stay in for only ten thousand dollars. Yes you heard me right ten thousand dollars. If that somehow turns you off just look at that bright sunset on the cabin it'll gor sure make you want to come here and pay us ten thousand dollars. Next we get a scene where Roger tells Jessica about a Wendigo and how he things he should become one. Oh ya totally dude. I swear I won't have Dean Winchester kill you if you become one so go ahead man do it. Well this isn't entertaining first she's ignoring Captain Marvels calls and now she's answering them and screaming at her. The only thing intresting happening is the fat mountain man sneaking into the kitchen and seeing the butcher chop up humans and use their meat for the steaks they're serving. Is this now the walking dead or something? Is everyone gonna turn into zombies and attack Spider-Woman and Roger only to have them be saved by Rick and his group? Don't you hate when your trying to eat something and a hot chick with spider powers zaps your food out of your hands? Dammit I wanted to eat that sandwich but now it's on the floor :'(. Anyways we see the manager or whoever get angry and turn into a white animal that Jessica Drew chases down only to have Captain Marvel help her. Darn it Captain Marvel you ruined the awesomeness I was about to see by Spider-Woman. To see how this issue ends go buy and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise um maybe don't have the next one tie in with civil war 2. Dammit! I give this issue a 8 out of 10. At least Captain Marvel isn't secretly hydra like Captain America. Things I learned from this issue. Captain Marvel doesn't know how to stop talking about something when you tell her you don't want to hear about it and that you're busy. Fuck you Captain Marvel quit calling my phone!

Review: Snow Fall #3

This issue opens up with Inspector Davitika Deal searching Dr. August Reasons memories or something and trying to find out where he hid their secret formula or whatever. I'm gonna take a nap so wake me up when things get interesting... no that's not interesting yes I see that she's looking into Anthony Farrows memories now but still not interesting. Actually I'm kinda creeped out since there's a creepy little girl in his memories. Well looks like they finally found her. Next we get a scene where Dr. August Reasons pops out his eye and uses the blood to make a storm appear or at least start to appear. Note to self don't pop out your own eye unless you want to be a pirate or have powers that allow you to make it snow. I see that you created a storm and are now using it on the inspector and her men but it's not killing them so I'm gonna have to dock this issue a couple points for that. Oh look Anthony Farrow did something useful for once he shocked Dr. August Reasons. To see how this issue ends go buy and read it or don't cause it's not that interesting. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise ya to be honest I took a long nap through most of it so ya. I give this issue a 7 out of 10. So glad I took this series off my pull. Things I learned from this issue. That the little girl from the ring is now in snow fall so I'm pretty sure I'll get a phone call and a voice will say seven days. But don't worry I won't be stupid and freak out like a little girl like most people in those movies I'll ignore it since seven days could mean anything.  Heck maybe in seven days I'd become extremely rich :)

Review: Quantum And Woody #3

This issue opens up with Quantum and Woody diving out of the window. Well now that we're all caught up I wonder what else will happen. We see that Quantum sold his cape to some hobo. You sure he needs all the gear with the cape? Like what if he uses some of it yo rob a bank or something. Note to self if you're a superhero never sell your cape to a hobo with all your gear on it. Basically be smart and take all that stuff off or out before you hand over your cape. We get a flashback to when Woody hot wired his dads car and Eric blew himself up or oart of the school to try and get his dads attention. See parents this is why you should show all your kids equal love cause one might do something stupid like this. We get a fight scene where Eric and Woody beat the crap out of each other which causes Eric to get up and leave. You'll have to read the issue to see what caused Eric to get so mad. Later on we see Woody get zapped and taken hostage. To see who takes him and how this issue ends go buy it and read it. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise slow. I give this issue a 8 out of 10. Can't wait to see how this volume ends :). Things I learned from this issue. Not to sell your cape to a hobo. In fact don't sell it just get rid of it that way you don't sell the cape and all your equipment.

Review: The Unbelievable Gwenpool #5

This issue opens up with Gwenpool standing on top of M.O.D.O.Ks mobile base talking to all the readers and explaining how her first arc went which was great by the way so you should definitely buy all the single issues or the trade paperback when it comes out. Anyways Gwenpool takes a call with a secret client who tells her to meet them somewhere alone. I wouldn't do it Gwenpool. Well wouldn't go alone to the meeting I mean. Might want to bring some backup just in case. Anyways next we see Gwenpool in her room taking to Cecil and telling him to read the book that Doctor Strange gave her on ghost. Well he's shit out of luck since he can't touch anything. Later on we see Spider-Man fighting Lizard men something like that. My moneys on the big green monster men... damit he just beat them. But at least they tore off a piece of his mask so that when people see him in costume they might be able to guess his secret identity. So we get a scene where Gwenpool meets Miles Morales on the subway and lets him know that she knows his secret identity. Dude Miles why are you leading her out of the train. Holy shit dude don't dangle her from the subway ceiling like a jerk, see you even have a train coming so you better save her. Phew for a moment there I thought he'd drop her or let her dangle there and get hit by the train. Later on we get a scene where Gwenpool and Spider-Man save people from a burning building. Somebody needs to give Gwenpool a raise for saving those people. Heck at least she didn't dangle them from a subway ceiling like that jerk Miles Morales. To see how this issue ends go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Hopefully Gwenpool will teach Miles Morales not to be a jerk. Things I learned from this issue. Miles Morales is a jerk cause he'll dangle you from a subway ceiling if you know his secret identity.

Review: Insexts #7

This issue opens up with Lady Bertram staring at Sylvia. Don't you hate when the dead come back to haunt you? I know I sure do. Anyways we get a bunch of scenes where the hag talks till William decides to break free and try to kill her only to get himself killed. Well can't say I didn't see that coming. I mean he's no creature and wasn't in the series much till the last few issues. Plus when I saw him in the first issue I knew he wouldn't last long. Also really William dying is what made you get angry and transform into a giant bug Lady Bertram? Also don't kill anyone close to Lady Bertram unless you want her to get extremely mad and turn into a giant bug, then kill you. Yay our heros won. To see how this issue ends and what happens to Lady Bertram after she kills the hag go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good end to the first arc. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Can't wait to read the next arc :). Things I learned from this issue. If you're a regular human in a world full of people who can turn into creatures don't try and kill one of the evil ones cause you'll just end up dead.

Review: The Amazing Spider-Man #9

This issue opens up with a clock ticking while Nick Fury angrily walks into Parker Industries looking for Peter Parker. Dude chill out cause right now you have a temper like that stupid youtuber who whines about comic book stores. Can't even remember his name cause that's how stupid and lame he is unlike my friend Eric who is also a youtuber, podcaster and webcomic writer. Be more like my friend Eric Nick Fury. Anyways Spider-Man decides to take Nick Fury into space with him so they can fix the satellites. Next we get a scene with Scorpio being mad cause he hasn't received his horoscope reading yet. Dude they have an app for that shit just download it on your phone so you can always get it. Oh shit he just found out what Spider-Man has planned. We see Nick Fury and Spider-Man get attacked by satellites. Note to self don't go into space unless you want to get attacked by a bunch of satellites. Well I'll make sure to never piss Nick Fury off cause he's pretty good with a blaster. Anyways after they fight off the satellites Spider-Man uses one of them that didn't attack them to find out where Scorpios hiding. We get a scene where the robot butler gets jelous over some guy kissing Anna Maria. Dude chill out robot human love normally doesn't end well. To see how this issue ends and if Spider-Man survives re entry in just a space suit go buy and read this issue. Artwork was pretty good. Story wise pretty good. I give this issue a 10 out of 10. Well all I can say is seeing a spider in space is something you don't see every day. Things you should learn from this issue. Robot and human love doesn't ever end well.
